The Challenge

With nearly half a century of educational excellence under its belt, YMCA Faridabad was inaugurated in 1969, as a joint Indo-German venture. The university stands proud as the leading cultural, technical and research hub in Faridabad.

Despite being such a renowned name with excelling infrastructure and facilities, YMCA’s social media was still stuck in a bygone era. We helped them pick up the pace so as to surpass the competition.

The Solution

Creating a social media presence for a company involves marketing products and services. For educational institutes, however, it is the culture and accomplishments that draw traffic!

  • The campaign began by highlighting the YMCA culture which not only led to engagement from students but also from university alumni.
  • We further asked YMCA graduates to share a few images of their time at the university and sifted through a hundred of photos and started a #tagyourclassmates campaign, generating impressive engagement.
  • Posts around recruitment drives and campus placements fast became the most liked. We channeled this momentum by tagging companies and successfully placed students.
  • We did faculty photoshoots and detailed credentials for all the staff. These were then submitted as ‘teacher of the day’ posts and even uploaded to the YMCA website. Channeling teachers as heroes got emotional marketing into play, helping leads connect.

  • Facebook witnessed an addition of more than 4200+ followers
  • Organic traffic generated was more than 12,000
  • The likes on posts can to a standard of 200 & more
